CIOs Of India was among the early technology leadership forums to use golf as a structured setting for executive learning, peer bonding, wellness, and business transformation conversations.
The Idea
A leadership initiative beyond the boardroom
CIOs Of India introduced golf as a premium community initiative for CIOs and senior technology leaders. The program began with basic golf training on weekends during February and March 2016, followed by a final tournament among CIO golfers on 10 April 2016.
What made the initiative distinctive was its design. Golf was not treated as a casual outing. It became a format for discipline, patience, focus, wellness, and thoughtful peer engagement, with technology leadership conversations woven into the experience.
